Leigh was a teacher for 30 years before authoring the Handbook to Happiness and the Journal Towards Happiness to teach Te Ao Maori wellness principles to students in schools across Aotearoa. The Soul Learning In-School program has improved self-reported mental health indicators for over 2,000 students in 26 secondary schools across Aotearoa.

Good Growth supported Soul Learning with the development of the e-commerce compatible website, the In-School digital platform, a corporate wellbeing platform, a school network development strategy, and later, founding of the Soul Learning Charitable Trust. The Trust exists to source funding for youth suicide prevention programs in Aotearoa schools, and has so far raised over $50,000.
